Default Need some help!

I got the new IMG updates yesterday and thatís when all started. My screen had a green vertical line about ľ inch tick on the right side of my screen in 1080 seting. I am using HDMI cables connecting STB to Samsung 40 inch LCD. I called Verizon last night and after 3 hours I lost picture but TV Guide is still working, they told me they will try to resolve this issue within 48 hours. Anybody has any idea what is the problem.

In the past, some Samsungs and the Moto boxes ran into issues with HDMI, the green line was one problem.

I use Component and have no problems. The picture is equal. So, try some component cables and maybe it will help until they can "fix" the green line issue.

I had to go into the menu with the box off and change the settings back to 720P and 480i override - off to get my 32" samsung to come back on after I change the setting to 1080i in the IMG. Maybe it is the same with your Samsung, try going into the service menu. TV on, turn stb off and quickly press the menu button. some boxes it's the select then menu button

For 6 month I had no problem with this set up, this problem started right after Verizon installed new IMG.

Default Green Line with Verizon Fios

Since the IMG update I have exerienced a vertical green line on the right side of my screen. I am using the Motorola DVR STB with HDMI to a Sony 40" XBR2. Other posts seemed to have confirmed that this is a Verizon problem since I didn't have this problem before. I pay for a 1080i signal and expect to get it. I have logged my complaint with Verizon and I hope they resolve it soon.

Just as an FYI, you get 1080i thru component cables also. I agree the set up should work with HDMI and hopefully FIOS fixes your problem very soon. BUT, in the mean time I suggested trying components as at least you can enjoy the tv while you wait and you don't lose any quality either.

Its strange that this doesnt seem to effect everyone who uses the HDMI hookup. The picture is fine on my HDTV with HDMI hookup.
