Default Did Verizon upgrade their minimum speed.

For years I have been getting close to 30/25 Mbps Down and Up. It was fine for me, This morning I checked and I got 100/110 Mbps Down and Up.
Was this upgrade applied across the board as the minimum speed, or is this just a teaser?

I got a free speed upgrade.
Did you contact them to ask?

They sent me an email. Didn't you get one?

No e-mail for me.

Last year they bumped me up to 50 Mbps. which they did FOR A MONTH with an e-mail announcement and then unceremoniously back to 25 in a month or two. I called and they said it was temporary. I bytched and moaned that they did not indicate this.
THey said they had told me it was temporary but they checked back, found out I was correct and basically said "Oops, we're sorry."

Let us both hope the speed increase is here to stay this time

Anybody else get a surprise speed increase?

If you are not being "charged", why complain?
If you contact them, they will provide an answer.

I don't want to contact them because one of several things could result:
1. Yes we gave you a free speed upgrade.
2. "Oops, we made a mistake" and lower my speed
3. Yes, We gave you an upgrade and your next bill will be $20 higher.

I am not complaining but just asking if others got the upgrade too perhaps indicating 100/100 as the new FIOS minimum.

I got an email. Free "loyal customer" upgrade in November.
No increase in bill. Still 100/100 today.

Enjoy your upgrade.
