Default Klipsch 5.1 Promedia GMX....good?

These speakers retail for $150-200, but on eBay they are a little under $100. What do you think of them for connecting to an XBOX/HDTV setup?

Call me a sceptic, but when they say "brand new in the box" that is supposed to mean they were not used. If the box is not sealed with the factory tape, how do you know they are NOT used? Also whether or not they are refurbished (something broken & fixed)?

If you can get them REALLY brand new and in a sealed box, while take a chance with a total stranger?

What if you do not like the way they sound? Can you return them and get a Refund? If yes, then you will be out shipping costs BOTH way and still have to buy speakers still. You will prbably still have to pay $30.00+ for the shipping so how much are you really saving?

Some things to think about before buying online let alone at ebay.

For what you pay for this speaker system it is a pretty good deal buying them at a local store for about $150-200.00.

I happen to love Klipsch speakers myself (look at my signature of what I have), but I heard them at CC and they sounded pretty good for the money. Everyones ears hear differently so you need to hear them with YOUR ears.

I personally do not trust many resellers on ebay, but that is my extremely low tolerence for being ripped off. I am sure many deals are legit, but is it worth a $130.00 hit to save $20.00-70.00?

That is what you have to weigh yourself.
