Default Polks vs Kef

Will someone please help me stick a fork in this and put me out of my misery before I bleed from my eyes and my head explodes.

I have nothing now. NADA. Zelch. I watch and listen to a 10 yr old32" JVC CRT TV. Period.

I recently purchased 2 panny PZ80u's, 2 panny BD35's, 2 SR606's, 4 Infinity Beta 20's, Beta C360 center and PS-10 sub for the "theator room". All is still in the box as we are moving into the new digs in about 3 weeks. These decisions just about killed me.

Only thing left is the 5.1 speaker setup for the family room. It is 15X19 with 18 ft ceilings. I have listened to the Kef 2005.2 and thought them to be very nice. Then I listened to some Polks..RM75, 85, 95's...Very nice as well. After trolling thru many postings here, I came up with the idea of pairing the PolkRM 85's with a HSU STF-1 sub. That would come in about the same price as the Kef gear. They both sound great to me, but then again, look what I am working with now.

Somebody kick my ass over the edge so I can get on with my life...Polks w/the HSU or Kef's??

IMO, you get more for your money with Polk, but if money is no object, than KEF is probably a better choice.

I can only say what I know of the Polk's. I haven't heard the KEFs but many here praise them.

If money was no object for a small speaker setup. that Mirage Omnistats are quite nice.
