All of my speakers are fine except the left surround bipolar speaker. It is hung on a wall column 6ft to the left and 6ft before the primary listening position. (45 degrees forward) Should I use a ceiling TV mount to drop it from the ceiling and in line with the right surround speaker and the primary listening position. I have a map but I cannot post it until I have a minimum of 5 posts.

Personally, I don't think it matters. Surround audio content rarely has any true positional sound because the directors of movies want to keep your visual focus toward the screen. Most surround sounds are not defined sounds but rather sounds like crowd noise. There are a few movies that have some directional surround like airplanes coming from behind to the front or from one side rear to the front, but those are not sustained sounds that would cause you to turn your head to see what it is.

Many receivers have individual gain controls for each channel or the center, left and right surround channels to allow for balance of the system. My receiver has a test tone for balancing. You might look into that.

Thank you rbinck. This is the answer I have been looking for. My AVP does have room correction software. I'll move forward to set up the speakers as you suggested.
