Default I need a pair of Speakers + Sub

Hi I am looking to get like a 2.5 or 2.0 home theater set-up that would cost me less than $300. 2 Front speakers and a Sub. Can someone recommend some good quality ones? Thanks

Or you could spend just a few more dollars and get a really nice surround system with sub like this - http://www.accessories4less.com/make...Package/1.html Make sure to click on the reviews tab and see what some owners have to say about this awesome small speaker system.

hey LovesWatch, you've helped me before with the surround system, I would LOVE to get a set for around $300, and I know thats a better budget and all but theres a problem: my wife and I both loves to decor our apartment and agreed not to put up any wires on the wall or under the carpet(too much work)... , another solution is to get a wireless set but that's more $... Any opinion will be very helpful. Thanks

How would this set up (2.5?) compare to those home theater systems that they sell at BB, CC for $300-$400 (ex: sony, samsungs, panasonic..etc) Those package comes with like 5+ speakers and a reciever... I already got a reciever.
Can you also recommand some smaller speakers?

How about

http://www.onecall.com/ProductDetails.aspx?id=88693

which one is better? These are called shelve speakers right? how are these compared to the those boombox stereo speakers? Is the quality between 5.1 sound and the boombox speakers? Thanks

I have not heard any wireless system that sounds good. That is not to say there aren't any available as there are but at a prohibitive cost.

They do make flat and almost invisible speaker wires that just may fit into your decor. Worth checking out as those speakers I gave you a link to are VERY good.

I am sure thats a nice one but I don't like the look (shape) of the speakers, sorry being so picky Since you said the wireless speakers doesnt always come with great sound, I am giving up that option and not to risk. Please read my post above yours and give me some feedbacks. Thanks

This would be a better option http://www.onecall.com/ProductDetails.aspx?id=34001 than the two you chose and you could paint the cabinets white if need be. If you don't like this one (which IS better) then the Boston Acoustics (the second link in your post) would be the best of the two you selected. You must decide if sound or decor is most important If decor is more important then get anything that pleases the eye. If sound is truly important then the Mirage system I originally linked will by far give you a better sound then anything else we have discussed here.

the Infinity's price is about the same as the 2 I mentioned above... Why do you think Infinity is better? is it because of the bigger size box? better sound? Man the 5.1 home theater is very tempting too still... by the way.. I might get the 5.1 because instead of putting the speakers and wires on the wall, I am putting the speakers on the table by my sofa and have the wires go under the carpet or bottom of the wall.

Note: PSW10B isn't that great of a sub. I compared them side by side and even the cheaper Sony sub blew it out of the water.

Other than that. Convince your wife to do a surround if you can. Any option of running the wire in the ceiling? If you can get to a crawl space it isn't that hard

I definitely would go with the 5.1 system. And yes the Infinity's do sound better because of the drivers.

what do you mean by a crawl space? I might change my mind now and get a 5.1 surround now I mean the price is so good. I will have the rear speaker wires under the carpet (still don't know hot t do that lol) Or at the corner of the wall/floor alone with the internet cable wires.

The Infinity subs aren't meant to be loud but rather produce DEEP bass. The only other company that does this is REL and they too make extraordinary subs, but at a price.

The Mirage sub woofers have a really nice clean sound I have an 8" in my system based on your room size the 10" is a nice all around sound and their ribbed speakers produce an exceptional clean sound
