Default Question about speaker wire

I just bought a Klipsch Quintet speaker system to replace the Bose Acoustimass 6 system I was going to use. I had already prewired the room (at least for the rear speakers) for the Bose system. These wires have RCA jacks at the end, but only one - not your typical red and white ends. It looks like there are 2 wires in the cord. If I just clip off the single RCA plug and strip the wires a bit, can I use it for my new Klipsch speakers? Unfortunately the wire has already been drywalled in and cannot be fished out.

Secondly, I am selling my Bose system and need to get to new wires for the rear speakers. I have looked on a number of wire sites including monoprice.com and none of them have the type that Bose uses. It doesn't look like the Bose site has any either, but I have yet to call them. Is it possible to make some homemade versions of their wires? Has anyone here ever done this?

I have attached a picture to help give you a better idea of what I am talking about.

Thanks for the help. I cannot wait to get this system set up!

It looks like there are 2 wires in the cord. If I just clip off the single RCA plug and strip the wires a bit, can I use it for my new Klipsch speakers? Absolutely! but you will need to know which wire is + and which is - Unfortunately the wire has already been drywalled in and cannot be fished out.

Hopefully that should do it for you. And here is a link for premade wires that you could use to replace the Bose wires, just clip off the other end. http://www.cablesforless.com/c-173-2...io-cables.aspx

Thank you for your help! So if I buy those cables from that site, all I need to do is just use the red or white cable? I just want to make sure I understand you correctly.

Red for right speaker, white for the left.
