An Onkyo HTIB would be your best bet. Their home theater systems are exceptional and don't cost an arm and a leg yet give you the most performance per dollar compared to any other manufacturer. Not knowing your true price range I would suggest the HT-SR800 to begin with and you could go lower or higher from that point. The HT-SR800 has an amazing amount of features and power for this price point and is sure to WOW anyone including the audio experts. I have setup several of these the past weeks for friends and all of them decided to use 5.1 surround although it is a 7.1 system and the sound was breathtaking. Here is a link for a review - http://www.highdefforum.com/showthre...Onkyo+HT-SR800
The system can be purchased directly from Onkyo or from several retailers on-line and in stores like Circuit city.

If I can be of any further assistance, please let me know.

I got this one, it's great for the price: Samsung - 1000W 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System/Upconvert DVD/CD - HT-X50
I use it via an optical digital cable connected to my 360, damn it sounds good.
I like this 5.1, it has all the connections you'll ever need, including a headphone jack, so you can play games or watch dvd's without disturbing anyone.

Yep I just purchased the HTSR800S yesterday. Was up to 4 in the morning doing the speaker test calibrating and whatnot. I like it. I didn't get to fully finish setting all the options and testing it out since I did have to go to work today, but I will sure be getting into it tonight and over the weekend. I got it at J&R in New York City for $399.99!
