Arrow Denon 1906 AVR........ subwoofer connection?

I just bought this Denon receiver last month. Its very impressive, but I have one problem!
The only 'sub woofer' connection is from the 'pre-amp output'. My present sub-woofer does not have an amplifier.........
If I buy another sub-woofer( amp), how do I connect it using my single sub-woofer output connection??????
Most 'SW' I see have connections for a 'right' & 'left' front speaker connections, or line input! See link below.........
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ufZ0Wom...display=XL#Tab
This particular 'SW' also has an 'LFE' input. Do I need this type of input (LFE) to work using my present(single output ) jack on my Denon? See link for Denon output jacks...............I couldn't find a photo of the 1906, this is a 2106 with the same outputs.

Thanks.....

Use the LFE it covers all basic needs for Low Freq. Effect. This covers all channels, so you can use smaller "bookshelf" type for front/center/rear. Best setting with a sat/sub setup.

Arrow Lfe....

OK............ I understand I can use both inputs on the 'sub', but "LFE" would probably be the best way .
I only need one cable and I can use the 'crossover' settings on the receiver as opposed to the 'sub's' controls.

Thanks....

correct! and you can use the phase controls on the sub, the freq. knob, and phase switch. I use the 0 setting it sounds best with dvd-audio. experiment and soon you will get to "just right" spot. good luck!

man, I'll tell you for the $ there is no better combo than Dennon and polk. The absolute clarity is unbeaten for similar in this price range, and it rivals some higher end stuff you see out there. So when it comes to add on's please! do not scrimp. spend a few $ ,more for good quality interconnects ( no monster) and on your sub. I've heard this stuff compared to very costly equipment.

Arrow Polk stuff................ beautiful !

My center 'CS1' arrived yesterday and my M40s speakers not bombs arrived today about 2pm.
These speakers are 'beautiful' to look at and fit in with the stereo cabinet........... I'm using for my entertainment center.
I know these are not 'top notch' speakers, but I'm very happy with the 'specs.' and the looks ( cherry veneer)....... looks like solid cherry wood though!...............
* using #16awg. speaker wire....... R/S not "M".
I'll add the 'sub' later.................
