Default Quick question about amp and speakers

Hi. I have a Klipsch RSB-11 Soundbar with subwoofer that I love but I really want to add rear speakers if possible. My living room isn't huge so I don't need anything to bring the house down.

I have my apple TV, blu ray player and PS4 plugged into the soundbar via HDMI, then soundbar connected to TV via single HDMI (ARC).

I want to know if it's possible to add rear surround via digital optical out from TV into an amplifier, then connect the speakers to the amplifier via speaker wire.

Here are the products I want to use.

No it wont work the way you want it to, that amp is a L/R stereo amp, all it will do is supply Left and Right stereo audio, not surround Right Rear and Left Rear audio, it will just be the same as the front audio from your sound bar.

For true L/rear - R/rear audio you will need a 5.1 surround sound audio receiver, one with at least 3 to 4 HDMI inputs, and an HDMI output to the HDTV.

I don't off hand know of one that will work with your current sound bar, but maybe Klipsch would be able to help you with that.

Try this link.

Yeah try contacting klipsch but most likely it won't work. They might be able to give you some sort of a work around but I agree with @kratos.

Let us know what decide upon anyways and some pics would be nice Sounds like you got a nice hook up going!
