Default Can I get decent external sound for $300-500

Hello,

I'm planning on purchasing a Sony HD TV this week and want to get something better than the built in speakers. I'm on a budget of $300-500.

In that price range is a sound bar what I'll be most likely looking at?

This TV is going in my basement on the wall (not sure if that matters).

Do you have room and are you interested in surround sound? If so you may want to look at one of the HTIB from onkyo available at accessories4less

I have room but I would probably lean towards a sound bar with a couple of speakers I could mount on the back of my wall.

That way it's simple and clean. I want to keep my cost down below $500.

There are so many sound bars out there it's hard to choose one.
