Default Opinions on Yamaha RX-V675 7.2

I've found a receiver that looks promising... I think..

Originally $650, this $400 7.2 receiver looks like it might be the one.. But I'd like some second opinions before I drop $400 on something I know little about.

Any assurance or criticism of this product would be helpful.

(Since i'm still fairly new to the forum I can't post any URLS just yet so search for "Yamaha RX-V675" on amazon for this product)

i just bought the yamaha RX-A1020, $700.00 at crutchfield, all out now, but i can tell you ive only owned three receivers in 40 + years, all yamahas, first one i messed up by crossing the speakers together, second one is still alive and well this one is assume. any yamaha is worth buying. they last forever and sound is incredible. like a sales rep form crutchfield said = all yamaha makes are musical items, pianos, keyboards, stereos and so on.

just checked it out, id go for it, airplay, YPAO, everything you need to be happy for a long time. and that is a great price. and yeah its still on amazon. shows how good of a price it is, crutchfield sold out really quick, same as they did with my RX-A1020/ plus you get a three year warranty.

That is a very nice receiver that should do everything you need at a good price.

I bought a HTR-3064 last year for under 200 brand new. It was on clearance. Love it for sound don't like it for codes but not a deal breaker. This is a known issue with Yamaha systems. You have to have 2 codes one for power on and one for power off. If you have CEC on your TV and it will power on and off then you got it made if not either 2 codes or 2 remotes. With my Toshiba CEC turned on and off and no codes needed and with Samsung you have to turn on with remote and TV turns it off.
