klipsch have horn loaded tweeters and seem to be a love it or hate it thing. I would say if considering the Klipsch I recommend auditioning them in person first.

if your center channel works the n I would say hooking it up to SE is a no brainer and Paradigms are timbre matched so you have a proper blend already you can tweak with Avr to om correction/audyssey

Thanks - I will use the center for now. What Atoms will you recommend for the rears down the road .... And is it better to mount them on a wall or stand?

I like having them on a stand, so I can vary / play with the positioning ..

cheers, PS

They used to be $299/pr looks like they went up a bit - after you set up front 3 look around a bit and you can probably find a bit cheaper in the end you will be so glad you went about things the way you did -you'll have a FANTASTIC set-up for years.

Fantastivc, report back once hooked up I think you will love it and you should be set for years to come. They will sound great right away and after 30-50 hours break in will sound even a bir better if you can believe it.

JK... you are perfectly right .. I hooked them up this afternoon, and the sound is amazing - this is even without the high end DenonX4000 receiver and without any Audyssey tweaks.

I am still waiting for a stand for the Center speaker - this comes on Wednesday, and then I will devote Sunday to set everything up - by then, I'm sure my wife's shows would have broke in the speakers....

Lovely choice, thanks again - will post pictures once I have everything hooked up.

I am already looking ahead to the rears and I'm thinking of these, arranged in order of preference:
  • Paradigm SE 1: $409
  • Paradigm Surround 1: $499
  • Paradigm Monitor 7: $350

I am leaning towards the SE1, but wanted to hear your thoughts on the others, especially your recommendation of Monitor 7 - is it based purely on price? If not, what would you recommend?

cheers, PS

Sonically they should all match but I am not a big fan of adp (active dipole) so I would rank them SE1, then monitor7 , then Surround 1 budget permitting.
When it is all said and done you may have spent a little more than initially planned but you are exponentially better off in both sound quality and aesthetics and have an awesome system that will last you for a long long time. BTW did you get them in black or ine of the wood trims?
Glad you like your choice!!

Thanks - I agree with your thoughts again ... The SE1 is the deal here ..

and then the is the issue of color mismatch if I go for the Surround 1 - which comes only in black.

I got the SE 3 and Centers in Rosenut color - beautiful, indeed !

So, yes, I agree, this is a fantastic set up, and I must as well complete it with the SE1s.
