Default Need Help With Surround Sound - Video Of Room

I have been reading and reading and my head now hurts, I have now turned to you guys for any advise you might be able to offer in my home theater room for sound

I just picked up a ONKYO TX-NR616 7.2-Channel THX Certified Network A/V Receiver from the egg on sale for $40 off two days ago. (Even after the bad reviews i read on it

Now for the speakers, I don't know where to turn at this point, 5.1,7.1 or 7.2.

I have been looking at the Energy Take Classic 5.1, but seen a video of a guy that had a room of my size and they didn't have the power for sound (8" sub?), as he turned up the speakers he blew one. I'm looking to stay around $1000 for my speakers and Towers would be fine also for the front. I also was told to get a 12" Sub by a friend, dont know if that's a must.

I thank you guys for any help and advise you are willing to offer, I have put a video for you to see my room size.

I cant post the video link

speaker makers now make familes of speakers for this purpose. Polk audio are very popular, as are the Fluance line. better? HSU, great stuff at good price's. as far as what configuration, you can start at 5.1 and build up later on as money allows. 2 subs? start with one. just be sure all are made by the same company. and get a powered sub with a built in amp just for it. 8" is good, 12 " better. Link did not take but it's all pretty much the same setup. ONe lesson I have learned, you basicly get what you pay for.

Thanks for the help with that Video

I have been looking at HSU Hybrid 15 Packages, as that's what I have been told would be some good speakers to work well in my room. At $1500 Im not sure if that's the best bang for the buck. My room is around 5600 Cu Feet and a system like the energy take 5.1 will not be a good choice for speakers
