Default Need Help with Surround Sound in an Open Living Room

We are going to be moving into a House soon that has a completely open living room. From what I've seen I think im going to be stuck with in Ceiling Speakers for the Surrounds, and I don't think im going to be able to run separate speakers for the front left/right and center. I think im going to have to go with a Definitive Technology Mythos SSA-50BLA Solo Surround Array Speaker. Im thinking Energy/Klipsch/Moderno/Polk for the Surround Speakers. If someone call help me with this if you have any suggestions on which speakers for the Surrounds I should chose and the placement for them. I would really appreciate it. If you have other Ideas, I am completely open for whatever your Ideas are. Thanks Everyone

See the attachments for a picture of the Television Opening, as well as the blueprints so you can get an idea of what the room looks like.

Im interested in running at least a 5.1, possibly 7.1. Thanks Again

Ok my 2 cents. It's only $.02 so it's not worth much.

The front will be difficult, but the soundbar does sound like the best idea as there is nowhere to put them unless you put them in the cabinet with the doors off and then the center on the cabinet.

For the surround I would run wires under the floor and put the speakers on stands (nice ones to go with decor) on either side of the couch.

A 7.1 in such an open space doesn't seem like it'll do any good.

Beutiful home! Love the fireplace!
Here are some ideas. a google of 5.1/7.1 will get more results. Walls don't matter, so much as placement and imaging.
