It is perfectly fine to run a splitter off the sub output in order to run two subs.
Yes, those Paradigm are the way to go.

Here you go, I hope this works:

It's not the most beautiful drawing (or accurate for that matter) but I think it helps. Seperator wall is made of stone so I think that would be a great corner for the sub. Floors are hardwood. Walls are plaster. The Bookcase goes all the way to the ceiling so nothing can be mounted above it and the couch nestles up against the book case and back wall so that it fits in the room.

Yes, that did work. See it wasn't too difficult.

Anyway you could use stands for the surround speakers or mount them to the ceiling if need be but that would be my last choice. See here for further info on speaker placement - http://www.highdefforum.com/746822-post1.html

As for the sub, since you have hardwood floors, you really need to place some kind of dampener beneath the sub to reduce vibration and harsh resonance. Some carpet samples would probably work but something like this would be the best solution - http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SubDude/ You also may want to consider some wall hangings (tapesrtys etc.) on the stone wall to reduce harsh sound reflection.

L2W and Cali:
Correct me if I am wrong but you both agree that the 806 and the paradigms will be the best I can do for my money?

These paradigms do produce that non-directional sound that I am looking for, correct?

Any chance you know where I could find them in black for that same price?

Thank you for helping. I am aware of the idea placement for the speakers however I just cannot make it work. The problem is the left rear. There is no room behind or beside the couch to mound a speaker unless I mounted it directly to the book case. My concern is the person sitting on that end of the couch will have a speaker a couple of inches from their ear. I am correct in saying that the rears need to be at the same height, right?

PGH -

Didn't see all had to be smaller bookshelf or mountable speakers. If so, the Paradigm or the KEF would work well! Good luck.

No, the black versions are $1000. You could always paint them if necessary but I doubt it would be once you got them in your home.

Yeah I wonder if the reason for these being 500 instead of 1000 is because they are silver, thats the only difference from the black set. Any time you can get paradigms for a good price you should jump on it. Paradigms aren't really the kind of speakers that go on sale a whole lot. They cost what they cost.

Ok I pulled the trigger on these. Couldn't beat for $499 plus free shipping plus that 5% rebate that they are offering on Amazon!

By chance anybody know any coupon codes for accesories4less before I make that purchase? Ya I know it's a great deal as is but every penny saved can help to purchase other things.

What size speaker wire do you recommend 12, 14, 16? I will be purchasing it from monoprice. Anything else I may need from there as well (I have plenty of HDMI cables that say 1.3 A on them).

Thanks again eveyone

I did follow your recommendation and buy the 806. I was able to buy it for 505 from accesories for less after the rebate. I wanted to share with all of you that I used bing with it's 8% rebate to purchase off of Ebay since accesories 4 less sell that route too! I hope this will save others money in the future.
