Default Harman/Kardon dvd 22

Anybody familiar with this dvd. I just bought it as part of a the HK CP15 system at CC. After reading on here I really planned on buying all separates, but figured I would try to take the easy route. I've never had any kind of theatre system so it sounds fine to me. I'm getting confused about how to hook it up. I bought the Sony klv32mi(on sale for 1799) and this HTIB. Do I buy component cables for the DVD/TV hookup and then an optical cable for the avr? It came with the RCA jacks and one S video cable, but I can't get all the speakers to play. Thanks

Default Hk

We really need some more info. Such as: What is the source of your TV signal. Antenna? Cable? Cable Box?
HD Cable Box? Satellite?
Assuming you have a cable box. For the TV signal. Run component cable from your cable box to you TV component imput. Run your digital audio cable (optical or coaxial) from your cable box to the HK. Or analog cables (1 black & 1 white) from your cable box to your HK.
For the DVD Player. Run component cables from your HK to your the 2nd Component imputs on your TV. Or you can use a video or S-Video cable from the HK to the inputs. However, you won't get the progressive scan (480P) without using the component cables.
There are a lot of other different scenarios depending on the source of your TV signal. This is just one.
Let use know about your experience with the Sony. I have been looking at that set myself.
