Default IR Repeater

I'm looking for an IR repeater. My cable box is inside a wooden cabinet. The repeater only needs to transmit a few feet.

Anybody have any experience with these or any recommendations? I'd prefer not to spend much. Below are some I saw on Amazon that I thought should work.

I'm trying to control a U-Verse cable box. One of the reviews I saw talked about the U-Verse box using an IF frequency, which is outside the range of of some (all?) IR repeaters.

The Radio Shack IR repeater will work with the U-verse box.

The U-Verse box does have compatibility issues with many of the IR Repeaters available right now. You also need to be sure the receiver is compatible with LCD and/or plasma TV's since they can create interference. Xantech's new DL85K is what we are using now and have yet to have any compatibility issues. They aren't cheap but a call back costs more in the long run

An IR repeater system takes Infrared (IR) light coming from your remote controller and converts it to an electrical signal that can be easily distributed over electrical wiring to one or more IR remote controllable components. Most IR repeaters аrе simply sending a DC signal.

I'm thinking he was looking for a RF version. No wires.

Hi Rbinck, I have a question? I have this, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ef=oss_product it worked great until I installed my home security system. I use my TV as the monitor for my day/night led camera. It has a A/V receiver. I think it caused my extender not to work anymore. Unfortunately, both have to be right by the TV. Is there a fix for this? I have the extender for my bedroom tv, this way I can watch all my cable stations in there without a cable box. Maybe I just have a bad transmitter battery thingy.

Thanks in advance

Sorry to hijack your thread OP.

Could be the RF frequency is conflicting between the two.
