Default wall mount vs stand

I know mounting it to the wall is better, but is just using the stand just as good? Im just worried about it tipping over bumping it because of where its located and also the entertainment center is sitting on a rug.

If you get good wall mount and attached it to the wall joint beam you'll be better off. I recommend getting a stud finder with AC and pipe senors to play it safe.

Stand is okay but you can move that set in different locations if your the type that likes to re-arrange the room a lot.

Wall mount once it up that's it.. Yes you could unmount it from the wall mount and patch in the holes and put the unit in another location.

In older home 1600, 1700, 1800 or 1900 - 1949 these type of home I won't recommend using a Wall Mount, unless you have done some serious re-modeling to the wall structure.

Some of these HDTV sets have kingston lock hole in the back. You could use a laptop lock set to that and with some wire management you could lock that mount down in your entertainment center so it won't move plus would make theff a bit more to do should that happen.

Does your set have that key lock hole in the rear of the panel. Take look you might have one?
