this is a great deal...the only thing is its sirus ready only i have xm on my current onkyo...so have to think bout it.

after thinking about it...if i get this one,i'll be moving my older onkyo(604) to living room which i can then use xm on that.and i wanted to get sirus anyway for the nfl and have that in room..and if i want i can listin to xm on my computer etc...P>S...Its been awhile

FYI: If you have or plan on getting a PS3, avoid the 606 unless you want to deal with a hum.

A hum is usually an indicator of a ground loop problem and not a problem with a particular brand of equipment. Unless we are talking about the proprietary nature of some Sony equipment.

The hum is well documented over at AVS. Of course I didn't read the owners thread over there when I recommended the player to a friend because he needed more than 2 HDMI inputs. Oh but I see it now. I would certainly not recommend this receiver further to anyone with a PS3 until the bug is worked out.

i have an odd ?.... my older Yamaha 5.1 HTR 5930 is in living room and does have xm..i have onkyo(604)which would go in living room...is there a way to use the Yamaha 5.1 HTR 5930 as just a radio for my xm and have everthing run through the new onkyo
