Default Sound Bar Compatibility??

This has been a real challenge!

I’ve been using a 10 year old Sharp Sound Bar (HT-SB300) with an older Toshiba TV for 10 years now. Using a Optical connection.
Last week, I decided to upgrade my bedroom TV so I purchased a 2018 Samsung UN32N5300AFXZ. I also use a Dish 4k Joey in this bedroom.
The sound bar came on for a brief time, and then went silent. I changed cords but that wasn’t the problem. I plugged the sound bar back into the older TV and it worked perfectly, so that is not the issue either. (Both optical & Sound Bar work just fine)

I had purchased a “floor model” TV from Costco and set it up and both the Samsung remote as well as the Dish remote worked perfectly fine. When I tried to connect the sound bar, it started working and then quit. It was then that I noticed that neither remote was working properly. The sound bar was making a loud crackling noise occasionally so I then unplugged it.
After thinking that it was TV related, I decided to return the TV to Costco and get the same one only brand new. Nothing has changed. Both remotes worked great during the initial set up, but when I tried to re-connect the sound bar I got the same result. Neither remote does what it is supposed to and both Dish & Samsung tech services can figure this out.
I'm not exactly sure how the remotes are even related to the sound bar other than to think that they are just not compatible?

Default All good now!

Did a live chat with Samsung and they dialed into my TV and resolved the issue with a software update and a soft reset. All works great now including both remotes!

I was very impressed with Samsung live chat/support
