Question onkyo tx-sr707

Hi: I wondered if anyone else has sound issues with their onkyo. It was working great and then the receiver does not show my surround sound. I have no sound at all. I had to revert to just my tv volume. Any suggestions?

OOHH! are you getting power? If so, check to be sure the speaker switch is on. I often shut mine off by accident.
also check your settings/inputs/ and connections. let us know.

do you have a surge protector it's plugged into? if not that is the issue.
you got a power surge that may have toasted the circuts. when power comes back on after an outage, there is always a surge of power exceeding the 110-115 volts.
electric supply is very unstable, going up and down all the time. many get power conditioners that compensate for the flucuations that no one can control. You need to protect yourself, and equipment. I use the a PC surge stip.

Common 707 issue. Thank Onkyo for once again making a piece of junk and not admitting fault. I had the same issue along with thousands of others of the whole TX-xx7 line from 2009. You get what you pay for. Deals that are too good to be true usually are. Onkyo has proved this with their current line of 2012 receivers and all their issues.
