Heroes thread

Season 5 started tonite. Over the last few months I watched seasons 1-4 via netflix streaming. Excellent show. I can imagine it can be hard to keep up with the story lines due to all of the flash backs affecting the "present", and future event stories. Clearly the writers were fans of Back To The Future movies. Kind of surprised that they finally ended a major char of the show. But of course with the flash backs, he will undoubtedly make some appearances this season...or maybe an upcoming hero (or villain) can raise the dead? ;)

Is it me or are commercials killing this show?
It seems every time you start to set into a segment - bang - another string of incessant commercials!
I have a hard enough time following what's going on as it is without these mood breaking pauses.

I know they are a necessary evil but I'm almost to the point that I don't want to watch anymore :(.

Anyone ever watch Star Trek Enterprise on HDNET (I think). They run the whole episode then have 12-15 minutes of advertising at the end. Sure wish they could do something like that.

Heck, I'd be willing to shell out more $ just to get rid of them so I can enjoy the show.

I record Heroes so I don't have to watch the commercials. In fact other than sports and news, I pretty much record everything I watch.

They do seem to jump around a bit more this year than previous years.

It may push me to get the recorder, right now I don't have one, can't justify the extra cost.
Maybe I should look at it as the cost of having for no commercials - priceless :).

Thats what make netflix streaming so great: no TV ads, no non-skippable DVD ads (DVD and theater previews, anti-piracy warnings, etc) either. I record heroes to DVR as well and skip the ads. I think last season had more time changes than this one...so far.
