Default HDTV benchmark test dvd (free)

hey guys,
maybe this will be helpful to people out there, particularly those currently shopping for an HD set.
since i couldn't find a way to test and compare HDTV sets when I went to stores like BestBuy, etc... I made this HDTV benchmark DVD:
www.tvblink.com/downloads/TVblink_v14.rar
(its compressed using .rar here for quicker download).

It has a bunch of different tests like banding, contrast, shots from actual movies to compare TV sets and see actual performance, etc...
Check it out at:
www.tvblink.com
I've included a full description of all tests.
Hopefully it will help people out there.
Please let me know what you think, and if it helped!!

(note, its an SD DVD, as its the mainstream available out there, and is meant to test the performance of SD feeds to HDTV sets, which is a good lowest common denominator for sets. And... it seems most TV I watch is still SD).

cheers,
pp

Hi and welcome to HDF

This was very nice of you to provide this info. Will have to look it over at my leaisure. Many have been wanting HD test Patterns and with DVE not here, if you don't get INHD - no way to get them. Could be very helpful to some of the members.

Indeed, I had been planning to post this, I have the disc, it comes with a single sheet instructions and seems quite well done. In many ways, a lot more simple and straightforward than the other calibration discs.

100% worth having in our arsenal.
