I could probably live with the Samsung 63" for less than $5k online. Not 1080p, though.

I agree. It is amazing how just a seemingly small step in size will make a big difference in price.
We have to admit, though - for one that was looking to buy something in that size range - it looks to be a real buy. When it was hand made - it cost 70K.

That's typical for large flat panel manufacturing processes.
