Default Conversion to 8K is going to be $$$

Conversion to 8K viewing is going to be heavy on your wallet. Aside from the cost of an 8K viewing panel $$$$, you'll need new cables.

Monoprice SlimRun AV Dynamic HDR Ultra High-Speed HDMI Cable - 8K, Dynamic HDR, 48Gbps, Fiber Optic, eARC, AOC, YUV 4:4:4,
Starting @10ft Black
@$190.99 ea. x's 2 or more(based on your system)
and substantially higher for longer lengths.

Then the additional cost for an 8K ready AVR.

Plus $$$$ for 8K player (none of which are currently consumer-available).

Same old same old everytime there is a format change. Personally I think they are moving way to fast ,as all technology is moving. Sooner or later they are going to shoot themselves in the foot. I'm done with DVD but it still amazing how that format hangs on , I see many people still prefer that format.
