Hello Rizzo. My name is Linda Kinstle. I live in Las Cruces and am a very close friend of Michael's. I had the honor of helping him during his toughest times and was at his bedside when he peacefully (although fighting in his own way) passed. I thank you and everyone here on the forum for your loving and supportive comments regarding Michael. I have been deeply touched by the gravity of his impact on so many I have never met or interacted with. I have had the pleasure of being in touch with Wooty and appreciate so much the condolences and moving words shared during this time. If you think you all with be missing Michael, imagine those of us who had the pleasure of physical contact with him. I know he will be guiding things from his new place of abode. Thanks again. May the Force be with you. Linda

So true, we've all experience and benefited from him and he never would look down on anything you posted to him I once was experiencing a Brain-fart while trying to rewire my AVR-system/ HDMI /digital cables and ethernet lines and just couldn't figure out my error I tore it down at least 4-5 x's and I posted here on some old thread regarding conversion from analog >HDMI And I posted a complete list of components in the system and what I was running into. I even Hard Crashed (reset) My Denon to reprogram for all nec options THHHHRRRAAAPP! it didn't work. he wasn't on line when I posted it but within a short time 4-6 hours he pm'd with like 5 lOl's It turned out to be a few resets in the AVR and then sound programming for 5.1DTS-HD Master Audio from my old Denon 3805. the Master had me up and running within an hour I felt like such a total ass for have stepped over an obvious setup sequence.

Then He'd just post something humorous in return. But he would never say "I can't help you" he would research the hell outta every thing and he was very well versed in many subjects He lived a good diversified life in the years before his numerous battles with Cancer

I tell myself as a consolation, that by conversing with him 'online' for a long time I never physically saw L2W but understood his periods of pain and was glad that I will remember a self-created image of him, read from his responses. And HDTVJUNKIE spoke with often during his final stretch. And Junkie said it was difficult and sad. He endured a helluva a lot and fought right to the end...he never said .....I Can't !

But it is rumored that a few years ago he had an avatar of a man's silhouette with cigarette smoke ...was him ??
He was always a very private about his life, he thrived in that bubble of security never seeking sympathy and the less people who were aware of it the happier he was.
http://ts3.mm.bing.net/images/thumbn...ea2d29a71922d0 .....so much talent & knowledge gone so early.

That's how I kinda pictured him anyway.

So true Kosty and Rizz, everyone that knew L2W learned from him and are the wiser. Like PFC5 he was always eager to help and he answered those newbie questions that no one wanted to bother with (myself included :o). Forums would be so much friendly and helpful if everyone tried to follow his example.

A long time ago I remember I was having some sort of equipment issue (my memory is a bit hazy , it might have been a subwoofer crossover issue or AVR remote or LFE issue??) and it was late at night and I was frustrated. I was posting here mostly in the old Nielsen thread as a routine, but almost in desperation I remember posting something up here about the issue and to my utter amazement I got a quick response that solved the issue. That was many many moons ago but I never forgot the help.

Seems to be in his character to help.

I did not interact with him as much as you all did but I have lurked a lot here over the years and his comments were always helpful.

RIP

I just realized that when I was very sick and hospitalized earlier this year he L2W was also being treated. I know the help and comments I got while I was sick helped me a lot and I am sure that the love and appreciation you all showed to you dear friend was appreciated even more so than you could ever know.

Comments I got helped me cope and I was nowhere near as sick as he.

So I am sure he knew and appreciated all the thoughts prayers and hopes of all.

God Bless you all.
