Geez, I got bored by 3D in 1953 and I haven't seen anything since then to revive my interest.

Wow.. it sure is tough to enjoy 3D and share the love on here.. so many are dead set against what is a great way to enjoy BD/HD in a cool new way. This aint the 1953 version... I watched Resident Evil the other day in 3D... Wow, the 3D mixed with the HD audio..

So, 3D needs to be squashed like a bug? *shrug*

I, for one (probably the ONLY one), hope they keep on making 3D movies.

You're right. There's you and about 200 other people utilizing 3D. I honestly I have not seen anyone I know personally that is using or even cares about 3D. I mean only about a third of the people I know are actually utilizing Blu-ray as it is.

Ok, they're basing this analyzation on the results of the fourth Pirates movie?? The one that most people I've talked to said they have no interest in seeing because it clearly jumped the shark after the second one?

Another example of how statistics are like a bikini. The show you things, but not everything.

Wonder what the same critics will say after opening weekend for Transformers 3?

That statistic is absolutely useless until you can tell me how many of those sets are actually being used for 3D viewing.

I would guess that % to be somewhere around 2-5%, but that's just a shot in the dark.

That's exactly why 3D is always going to be at least somewhat popular. They can write a thousand articles saying something else, but it makes no difference. It's the same reason HDM was always going to be popular. At some point all/almost all DVD players are going to play BD.

When every TV is 3D and glasses, if you need them, are $10, people are going to be using that feature.

Yeah, let me know when 3D glasses are $10 a piece. That's at least 5 years away, if not more.

Certainly not by choice, the manufacturers are shoving it down our throats. I you want a hi quality HD set for PQ then you have to accept one with 3D. Case closed.

I don't think you'll ever see $10 glasses probably the cheapest will be in the 40 to 50 dollar range.
