Robert,
Thanks....BIG TIME!!!
Either or both....good time to relax & learn...I guess Sunday....if push comes to shove?

DTV TiVo Dealer 09-13-2011 05:25 PM

Just spoke with the my Toshiba EVP and we're getting the new 65UL610U for our shoot-out event!

On paper this TV looks amazing, more local dimming zones than in my entire family tree, full array back-lit, 480Hz and Toshiba's proprietary and very powerful internal CEVO processor. Toshiba's CEVO processing chip is in the family of the CELL processor that was jointly developed by IBM Research Labs and Toshiba's CPU development engineers.

The shoot-out gets more interesting every day and the event has not even started yet......

Don't miss out on attending in person, and if you can't make it watch the live HD webcast.

Enjoy!

Robert any updates, as the day draws near, anything ?

DTV TiVo Dealer 10-02-2011 05:36 PM

Things are moving very fast now as we're in the final days before the shoot-out event. The showroom and shoot-out wall are coming along very nicely! This year's contestants look very pretty.

We donated a 55" GT30 and are selling raffle tickets with all proceeds to the American Cancer Society's "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer." Our VE team will be walking in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. Please stop by our home page to find out more about the shoot-out and make a donation to get entered into the raffle for Panasonic's TC-P55GT30.

There are still a few seats available for 10/8 6 PM and 10/9 1 PM, with more seats open for Saturday's event.

We had our first big day with our panel of experts/master calibrators, Kevin Miller, D-Nice and Ed Johnson and it was a blast. We had a great day calibrating and evaluating the performances and then running gorgeous (Hollywood produced reference grade) video content while gazing across the shoot-out wall and discussing the good and the bad.

Tomorrow we start early am and go deeply into the evening. And then comes Saturday, the first day of the shoot-out event and we get started very early to make all of our final arrangements for the 6 PM show time.

Enjoy!

Can we get a synopsis of the results of the shoot out?

DTV TiVo Dealer 10-22-2011 01:13 PM

videomot, there's so much information that it's best to take a look at our dedicated shoot-out page. We have links to the results of the voting, the MLL and ANSI onscreen contrast ratios and the video of both days that is on Youtube.
