I agree totally and also about the day of silence.

I still can't believe it or maybe I just don't want to.

I believe we are all in denial, because we don't want to believe it could happen to such a great guy.

Stunned...as a new member who required a lot of advice (and patience with trivial questions) PFC5 was always quick to help out. I can see now just how much he meant to this community here. He will truly be missed.

Quote:
People come into your life
for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON. . .
It is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty,
to provide you with guidance and support,
to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are!
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part,
or at an inconvenient time, this person will say
or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die.

Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met,
our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered.
And now it is time to move on.

Then people come into your life for a SEASON....
Because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons
: things you must build upon in order to have
a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all
other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

I'm still in shock. It's unreal and a bad dream that I'll never awake from.

I'm going to read through some of his posts of helping and answering people's questions, and try to quote his response to a similar question that gets asked, whenever I get a chance.

I am having great difficulty believing this has happened.

HDF has suffered a terrible loss.

Goodbye Paul. I will miss you very much. You were always the voice of reason, and now that voice has been slienced. We had a great deal in common, you and I, and you were always a better man than I.

God bless you Paul, and may God bless your family. I knew you only through your words and your passion, but you seemed to me a person full of wisdom and integrity. While your presence here on this board will be missed, my heart goes out to your family where the void of your loss will never be truly filled.

Goodbye, Good Luck, and God Bless You.

I've been off the grid for a few days and am just now seeing this.

I am just stunned. Absolutely stunned. And so very deeply saddened. Prayers and condolences for his family.

No one will ever be able to fill his shoes on this forum. One of the common tenets I've seen through all of these posts and in my own experience here at HDF is that Paul helped EVERYONE. In turn, we will all need to step it up. When we see someone asking a question or looking for information on a subject, we need to remember how great Paul was at jumping in and offering advice or information.

Damn. This just really sucks.
