wow

I haven't logged on in some time but came back this evening to chat with some old friends.

This is NOT a thread that I was expecting.

May you rest in peace PFC5. You have helped me a lot and you will truly be missed by the HDF family.

I keep waiting for someone to say April fools or something.. god..

RIP PFC5....

edit: i seriously feel like crying, me and him always got in to debates and arguments over a variety of subjects, but i respected him and he was absolutely one of my favorite people on this board.

You have got to be kidding me!!! Paul is gone? Oh man. This is so sad. I have tears in my eyes as I write this. Paul was one of the first people I got to know on here as brothers in arms during he format war. he would PM me to calm down cuzz I was being an ass. He talked me into my first set of Klipsch's, the RP5 like he had/has.

Damn, I sure as hell didn't expect to such news when I woke up here in Russia and loged on. Thanks for posting this Rbinck

What a huge loss for everyone. I have no doubt that he was a great husband and father, brother, uncle.... friend!

Damn, this really sucks!

PFC5, you will live in our hearts, always.

now to change my siggy.

Wow. 50 years old is way too young to have this happen. As everyone has said, he was always incredibly helpful and dedicated, and I can only assume he was the same way toward his family and friends.

My condolences go out to his family. RIP PFC5.

I received a couple of texts today from friends here on HDF saying PFC had passed away. I've had a pit in my stomach since I found out. I feel awful for his family, and I'm just so sad that we will not see his name pop up in posts anymore.

RIP, PFC...you will be missed.

Wow sorry to read about this. I wondered why he had not posted in a while... I thought maybe he had gone on vacation or something.

Wow, that is terrible news. I spoke with him on the phone for about an hour a few months ago, and despite all our past arguments, he really was a genuinely good guy. He will be missed.

I am completely floored, I feared something had happened when I saw his name in Stews and obliomans sigs. He was a true forum friend and a great support for me with my daughters cancer fight, he will be missed, but he'll always have a special place in my heart. A prayer of comfort goes out to his wife and kids. Peace to you Paul until we meet again!

Amen, brother. I was soooo shocked when I saw the top thread's title.... very surreal, still emotional about it.

Shit like this isn't supposed to happen but, as Billy Joel sings.. "only the good die young" and Paul was one of the good guys!
