It would be the greatest company ever. But, and I'm saying this as an Apple fanboy, I think Apple are getting too big for their own shoes... they've completely blown up in popularity since the iPod came out and they keep getting bigger and the quality of their products is suffering (overheating iPhones, bad signals, Time Capsule, etc). They'll soon hit Microsoft hardware quality standards if they don't watch themselves.

I have most of the Apple products, iMac, iPhone 4, iPad and they work perfectly.

I've read the blogs online saying those things, then they get repeated over and over, yet talking to actual owners like me we've not experienced those problems, I know about the signal problem on the iPhone, but that was such a simple fix it was way overblown by Apple haters.

I remember reading blogs online how terrible the iPhone was and what a piece of overpriced junk it was 3 months before any were even offered for sale.

So, I take most of those rumors with a large grain of salt.

Not saying there aren't sometimes problems, but how could there not be with Apple selling such huge numbers of high tech ground breaking products yet the percentage is really small compared to almost any other company's high tech products.

Apple suffers from extremely high expectations, anything less then perfection is way overblown, but with companies like Microsoft with a history of problems needing to be continually worked on, if the product doesn't just absolutely fail people just accept it as normal and don't complain too much.

I don't think it is going to happen and my initial thoughts are that it would a bad thing but if it gets closer to reality, I will give it some more thought.

I don't think it will happen, but if it did we would see some real innovation appear into the high tech electronics market that would be very interesting to say the least.

Apple is a real forward thinking company that leads the way in ground breaking ways of looking at and developing new electronics.

If they did maybe Sony would finally have some real programmers for their software.

Yes, that would be probably true and the new Apple computers would have Blu-ray built in fairly quickly.

Seems to me if that happened, Apple would be that much closer to being a monopoly...

If they did buy Sony their next game console would downgraded to a gimmicky piece of crap and TV prices would be doubled with no actual improvement.

It could actually get better, Apple doesn't make any crap everything they make is among the best on the market and generally a ground breaking and innovative technological first.
