Default DISH Network Launches 8 new HD channels ... including some good ones!

Greetings, all,

DISH Network has beat Directv to the punch, again, and launched 8, highly anticipated HD channels into their various HD packages. If you'd like to read the article, which goes into more detail, just click here:

DISH Network launches 8 new HD channels! EPIX, G4, HLN, History Int, NatGeo Wild, Shorts, TCM, & Style now in HD
  1. EPIX HD
  2. G4 HD
  3. HLN HD
  4. History International HD
  5. NatGeo Wild HD
  6. Shorts HD
  7. TCM HD
  8. Style HD

I don't put a whole lot of stock into HD channel count claims (advertised claims), but it is official, that DISH is the first TV provider to carry 200 HD channels. In the meantime, Directv is still claiming to have the capcity to do this in the future ... Good luck guys!

Now, interestingly, Directv also plans on launching 8 new HD channels, some of which include the channels mentioned above, but their mainly playing catch up launching channels DISH has had for quite some time, like E! HD, Hallmark and Hallmark Movie Channel in HD. (A little late to the race though, )

I am saving about $1000-1500 a year now and it has nothing to do with a satellite company.

Don't see any a la carte yet. Let us know when they want our business.

I'd rather stick with OTA now.
