Default Are you happy that HD DVD failed?

Hey,

Regardless of if you want Blu Ray to fail or not,.. can't be denied that HD DVD already failed.

Are you glad it bit the dust?

Are you happy with the timing of it's demise?

I heard that by X-mass,.. there would be no HD DVDs in the stores but it seems the stores will clean it all out by mid-summer at the latest which I think is great because I hate seeing that crap on the shelves.

I'm glad Toshitba was handed thier ass and wish they would make it up somehow to those daft enough to buy into HD DUD.

Again with the personal attacks...

Nothing better to do than to agitate people?

I'm extatic. I can now get all those great exclusive HD DVD titles I wanted that aren't on Blu-ray for pennies, which is great given how shockingly bad 99% of Blu-rays movie lineup is really , and even with HD DVDs departure things don't seem to be improving one bit, so yeah, I'm really glad about it.

Feel sorry for the Blu-ray owners tho, no films worth buying, and still full price.

[boots up Blu-ray player to enjoy classics such as Mr Woodcock and I Know Who Killed Me]

*this post is in jest*

There was no personal attack. A personal attack singles out a "person" not a group of people.

You can talk about a group of people and it's not personal.

(See what I mean about the daftness.)

No I am not happy since HD DVD was a better format for consumers. Blu-Ray has a higher chance of losing the war vs DVD and downloads. But either way I have moved on with a PS3 and a LG GGC PC drive.

How come consumers didn't buy it then?

Blu Ray has outsold HD DUD for more then a full year. But to some Dud-ers the consumers are the people that haven't bought in yet. That's about as rational as that whole attach rate non-sense.

Sorry, Lee...

Calling all HD-DVD purchasers daft isn't a personal attack. That tell me quite a bit...

One of the lesson's I've learned from the format war is that BR lovers - by and large - can't spell.

Tell me, Brian - did your parents have any children that lived?

Lee,

I think it's a valid question.

(But,.. I can see you not agreeing with that is it's anti-DUD.)
