He saw my PS3 and had to have one. Like me, he only wants to enjoy HD and he also favors the red pill. He's a smart guy.

Nice try trying to start a fight .. but you lose again

What a surprise Chris having selective memory, and I said there would be 7 million PS3s by the end of the year, but it has not reached your new 7.5 million number. If it has produce a link.

that is one of your problems Chris, you write well but like to post your opinions as facts and any numbers you post as factual are almost always overblown on rounded up quite a lot.

I generally like to research my numbers before posting them and usually can give links to back them up.

And no, I don't have a exact link for the 20% attachment rate for PS3s, there are so many references on the web for it being 20% it would be hard to believe them all being incorrect and you knowing 5 to 10 people (if that many) that own PS3s is not a real reference for the entire world's attachment rate.

I did produce a link that shows 7.47 million as of a couple of days ago, go to your post stating your opinion that the PS3 wouldn't reach 7 million by year end for the proof. I quoted you and provided the link in that thread. The PS3 should reach 8 million sold by year end if the last couple of weeks are any indication. The PS3 has certainly been selling more than 15,000/day recently.

I respond to crap you guys post. Have you tried to come up with when you believe HD DVD will sell more than Beta? It is an insult to Beta to compare it to HD DVD, but I would be interested in your conclusion since you started this thread that makes you look like a fool.

Okay, I stand corrected, I went a checked the PS3 has sold world wide 7.5 million, that would make the number of them being used as Blu-Ray players around 1.5 million. which still means HD DVD sells 4 times as much software per player.

We still win in the eyes of the Studios that are trying to decide who to back. And we are continuing to see aggressive increases in HD DVD stand-alones (50% in the last 4 months) if that keeps up and it should we will probably see 2 million HD DVD stand-alones sold and being used by the end of 2008, which should mean 8 times the movies being sold by HD DVD over Blu-Ray and that is where the Studios are going to watch as to where the future profits will be, not how well a game console is doing saleswise (you can call it a media center if you want but it is not really a media center is it?).

Heck at least I don't call it a paper weight, and there are some that would, something being called something doesn't make it so!

How so?

I can slap anything onto an SD card and the PS3 will play it.
It is a center for all types of media, no?

This is huge people !!!

I just found out that if you scratch off the bluray logo on the PS3, a hidden logo behind it appears that goes "New Betamax"
I haven't tried on stand-alone players yet but this week-end I plan to go to a store and when the clerks are not looking I'll try to scratch off the logo from those players.

If I manage to come back alive, I'll keep you all posted ...
