Here is the Q3 DEG Report, which reflects the results of the weekly pie charts.

https://www.degonline.org/wp-content...-with-grid.pdf

A few notes:

1) Physical is down 18.5% for the year, which is a lot.

2) UHD BD growth has slowed to 15%. Last year it was a robust 70%, so it may peak next year. If so, then total yearly sales revenue would only be around $300 million, which is only 13% of Blu-ray peak. For context, Blu-ray peaked at $2.3 billion, which was 16% of DVD's peak of $14.5 billion. See chart below.

3) SVOD (subscription streaming) now makes up 63% of the total "home video" revenue in this report. In a few years it would be 90%, then 95%. The total revenue for home video here is useless. Streaming growth is coming primarily at the expense of cable/sat, and to a much lesser extent: disc. So passing off streaming as home video, is really rather ridiculous at this point, where most everybody stream and most do as a substitute for regular TV.

Yearly OD Table
Revenue is in millions
Code:
Year OD ODYoY DVD DVDYoY DVDshare BD BDYoY BDShare UHD UHDYoY UHDshare

2018 $4109 -14.6% $2245 -20.5% 54.6% $1613 -7.5% 39.3% $250 70% 6.1%

2017 $4716 -13.4% $2825 -17.3% 59.9% $1744 -12.2% 37.0% $147 187% 3.1%

2016 $5491 -9.5% $3453 -13.9% 62.9% $1987 -3.4% 36.3% $51 0.8%
