Default "Star Trek" (2009) static issue

Anyone notice some static with this blu-ray? I've only watched 3 blu-rays as I am new to owning a HDTV with a Samsung soundbar setup. Had no issues with the other 3 blu-rays, nor the 2-3 DVD's, nor the 5 PS3 games, but did notice static in the beginning of the ST movie particularly with the into music. Interestingly, no static with some of the more sound effect intensive scenes. Any thoughts or similar experiences?

I didn't notice any static at all ,and i have watch this blu-ray a number of times. i also know noting about theses sound bars since i have a 7.1 setup. i couldn't say if your sound bar is at fault or what. Then again i'm listening to the dolby true hd mix. maybe its the dolby digital 5.1 mix is at fault.I haven't seen anything here or any other forum of startrek 2009 having an audio issue. You say the static shows up at the beginning? its possible the sound bar can't deal with all thats happening at that point audio wise. Do you know anybody with a 5.1 or 7.1 set up. If you do try his or hers system and see what happens, then you know if its the disc or your sound bar.

I'd start with checking all of your audio connections and then doing some comparisons with other Blu-rays.

It seems to be more on the menu screen of the blu-ray than the film itself. It's weird.

I had no issue with my copy of Star Trek either. It sounded very good from my memory and I would have noticed static with my system if it was there.

Sounds like a cable or a device issue to me.

Oh, forgot to mention, while viewing Star Trek BD on my computers Blu-Ray drive I do notice sounds static if I enable video acceleration. But no static at all when acceleration is turned off. I am looking in picking up a Panasonic Blu-Ray player in the next few weeks so I won't have to watch BD's from my PC anymore

The HD DVD players look like a 1976 Impala next to the newer BD players, which look more like Smartcars.
