Default professional service

i placed my order online (50V10 and BD-60K = $200 rebate from panasonic) on 8-10-09, received an email, and phone call almost immediately, to confirm my order. the conversation was cordial and
friendly......i received the goods today without any issues or problems.

the tv and player was being shipped to downtown los angeles, and ECTV charged an additional $100, but it was still alot cheaper than
any place i could find. By paying by money order, i received a 2% discount.

I received a phone call from the delivery company 2 days prior
of receiving date, regarding the specific time frame of delivery,
and another call, the day before the delivery.

the delivery company arrived in a budget full size van, with red cones
placed on the sidewalk to secure parking on a busy downtown street. two friendly guys unloaded the tv and the player, and we proceeded to the freight elevator in my building.

they unpacked the TV, plugged it in to confim its working condition,
i paid them by money order, and they left...it was quick, easy
and professional.

i highly recommend ECTV. it was the most smoothest transaction ive ever conducted online, and ive already told my friends. the "pay upon delivery" was the critical factor in conducting business with ECTV.

They can and will deliver any where in the US. However, if you are not within their "Free White Glove Delivery" area, (East Coast) they will charge you an additional fee.

This is what i have gathered.

This post right here from ECTV says that the west coast is out of the serving area yet I quoted a post : Originally Posted by zathan View Post

I think there are surely some tall tales right in front us.

Not exactly anywhere in the US

Currently our Free white glove shipping area consists of the area posted on our map on our website

About a month ago we started using a white glove delivery service that covers a much broader area on the east coast. They also ship to areas in 20 states California included, there are some drawbacks with us shipping outside of our Free white glove shipping area
1) We must charge an out of area shipping fee.
2) Our Wireless credit card terminals are only for drivers that can return them to us within 24 hours therefore we can only take a bank check as payment
3) we would not be able to offer any exchanges or refunds.
(but you can still refuse the shipment if the TV is damaged during transit ).
We have the ability to ship to other areas as this test run has proven, but For now we are concentrating on sales within our Free white glove shipping area.

Default It was Too Good..But it was True!

Yep, but it was true!

I bought the Samsung UN55B8000 55 INCH LED TV,* Auto Motion Plus™240Hz in July 2009. At that point in time the price of $3,000 with express shipping was definitely the best deal in town.

It did take a little 'gentle' persuasion on my part to get the advertised express shipping. I can live with that since I'm at the very edge (buffer zone actually) of the delivery area in Northern VA. A few calls to Ms. Jennifer a t East Coast and the issue was resolved.

They delivered the TV on time, carried it up 3 flights of steps, set it up, and plugged it in on the extremely fragile side table my wife insisted on using. There was a tense moment while we were waiting for the set to 'self initialize' and the delivery man was becoming a little impatient. But, in all fairness, I must say that the COMCAST Cable guy was installing service at the same time so we did have to do bit of exploring with the Samsung remote to verify the functionality.

The UN55B8000 HD picture quality is everything it was advertised to be. If either one of my Sony Bravia's ever needs replaced I'll be getting another Samsung LED.

I did opt for the 3 year extended warranty, and the East Coast folks threw in an extra (high quality) HDMI cable.

Cheers!
and where it applies -- Thank you for your Service.

Well all I want to say at this point is ,don't give west coast sellers and potential buyers a hard time when they come on this thread to give his or her opinion about different things, you used to say why is someone not even close to our service area even coming to this thread, well now it seems as though you are encroaching on their service area so they should be welcome here to voice their opinions and concerns, right.

As has been mentioned before, many of us on the West Coast have friends and family on the East Coast. News travels fast, especially bad news.

I was just looking at possibly buying my son the Toshiba 32AV502u and figured i would check out ECTV and they have this model priced at $550.00 which is $50.00 over the MSRP as well.

Locally I can get the same model for $100.00 cheaper at Best Buy at $450.00, and the 32AV52R (warehouse store equivalent model) for only $400.00 which is $150.00 cheaper. Too bad as I kind of wanted to be the guinea pig as a long standing member who bought from them.

I just cannot pay MORE to do this.

I was looking at it today, too, since ECTVs keeps whining about not being given a fair shake... but they won't ship to my ZIP code, unfortunately. With a 2% discount for sending them a personal check or money order and $100 extra for shipping, when I called they said they could deliver it to a city 60 miles away, but not to my town of 40,000.

Oh well, I tried.

Too bad- People who are thinking of purchasing from them are probably waiting for a long term member such as your self to post their experience with the company before pulling the trigger. If i was running East Coast TV's i would definitely price match Best Buy's asking price just to gain you as a customer.

They would benefit by gaining you as a buyer. Especially if you share your experience with others on these boards.

We will definitely price match, but their private label model numbers (32AV52R)we don't sell.
Granted we are not as competitive on 32" screens and the truth is one doesn't need white glove delivery buying a 32" TV. Driving down to a local best buy is definitely a good way to make your purchase and you will save between $46.00 and $106.00 in UPS/FedEx charges. Once you add the shipping charges the price gap between us and BB isn't as great. I personally would not want my TV handled by UPS or FedEx I don't believe that their package handling equipment was designed to handle flat screen TVs. A simple Google search on the subject will turn up some horror stories. We always tell our customers shop around for the best price and service.

Good luck on your new Toshiba 32" purchase wherever you decide to make your purchase.
BTW you seem to like Toshiba LCDs I also believe they give the most bang for the buck but what is your opinion on PQ vs the more popular brands.
