Thumbs up Panasonic TC-P42ST30 picture settings

These are the settings on my tv and colors are great. Try these, again these are to my liken and I watch alot of football.

Picture Mode: Custom
Contrast: +71
Brightness: +65
Color: +45
Sharpness: +30
Color Temp.: Normal
Color Mgmt.: off
C.A.T.S: off
Video NR: off
Pro settings:
Color Space: Normal
high R: +7
high G: -5
high B: +10
low R: +7
low G: -5
low B: +10
Black Extension: 0
Gamma Adjustment: 2.2
Panel Brightness: Mid
Contour emphasis: on
AGC: 0
Aspect adjustments
Screen format: just
HD size: size1
H size: size 1
HDMI settings
hdmi 1: auto
HDMI 2: auto
HDMI 3: auto
Content type
Advance Picture
Mosquito NR: off
Motion Smoother: weak
Black level: light
3:2 pulldown: auto
24p Direct in: 60Hz

Generally I refrain from commenting on user settings. I'm glad you have found what pleases your eyes in your room.

Here is the caveat for others that may wish to use your settings...

Both the bias and drives are + 10 blue. In addition you have reduced green and added red.

I've measured dozens and dozens of panny's over the years and when you use "standard" as your baseline color temperature with the cuts and gains at default, the display will measure at 8000k. With your numbers you are probably running close to 10000k with wild delta errors. Mr Sony found that he could sell millions of tv's if he jacked ct's to +10000k. You are one of his disiples grasshopper.

Film standards are set at 6500k and I've no issue with you setting up your display to satisfy yourself. I do at times, find it necessary to present for those less daring than yourself, to maintain a modicum of self control with regards to random selection of bias and drive control numbers. Especially when those folks try to use your numbers and then wonder why the Dolphins look more like Smurf's.
