Default November issue of Qore = Home Beta Invite

For those of you that would like to see what Home is all about for yourselves (damn NDA) be sure to buy the November issue of Qore.

Link Here.

November issue of Qore takes us Home

Veronica Belmont will take us Home in the next issue of Qore. No, she's not taking us to her house, you silly people; she's going to show us what's up with PlayStation Home. That's much more exciting, isn't it?

If being shown Home, just so happens to not appease you enough ... then how does getting into the closed beta sound? Yeah, the November issue of Qore will also give both annual subscribers and one-off purchasers an invite into the Home closed beta to sweeten the pot. Qore's new issue will hit early next month.

How much is Qore?

This may be worth it, but I am not actually interested in Qore itself but rather the Beta..

Software is not going to brick anybodies console, no different than a game or any other application.

I subscribe to The Official Playstation Magazine, & there's been a code in each of the last 4 issues that allows you to download an episode of Qore for free. Normally it's $2.99 an issue or $24.99 for an annual subscription. All in all it's pretty worthless & not worth the money.

Actually I've been a bit miffed about this. I bought the Annual Subscription for Qore and I susbscribe to the magazine. Had I known that they were going to give a free download key to each issue, I wouldn't have bothered.

why are you talking like that?

this Qore episode might be interesting, but i doubt i will get it. i'll just wait for the final version of home to be released for free... after playing warhawk beta, LBp beta and R2 beta.. i find myself not enjoying these betas and i rather just wait for the final product since i dont have to toy around with them to find bugs and what not. as far as i know, home is suppose to be released sometime in november.

and as for home bricking your system, thats silly, i dont believe anyone has ever experience their system being brick from a beta, unless thats something that occurs with the 360 of course..

and to have to pay for this beta (in the sense that you have to pay for Qore to get this key for this beta) i seriously see no difference from this and from pre-ordering a game to get access to its beta, which is something thats occuring more often then nothing. (e.g. preorder resistance 2 and you get a key to the beta, thats the same thing as paying for the beta which is the same thing as buying qore for $2.99 and getting the key to the home beta.. )

next time cygnus.. next time..

Well, technically I wasn't talking like anything, but technicalities aside, I dont know

I think it may be the fact that we all know which way he leans and yet he gave me a sincere opinion urging me to not waste my money. If I were a betting man I would say that is why I came off as corny as I did

Admittedly, I had to read your post a few times to make sure there wasn't any sarcasm there. Then I realized you were actually being genuine. It was a bit out of character for Nexgenrulz to have something negative to say about something "Sony".

Yea I can be a smart ass, and most of the time its taken the wrong way, but its hard to really convey emotions and subtleties through text and a set emoticons..

But to be clear, I was being sincere with Nexgenrulz..

There's a decided difference between bricking and breaking
Firmware updates and flashes brick things... overly stressful software and poor design is what breaks things.

/off topic

Anyways I'm not gonna go rush out and buy Qore just to get into Home early, unless you can share the Qore episode and the Home invite like most psn games.
