I downloaded the Nascar demo off of xbox live last night.Let me start by saying I dont like Nascar, but I love racing games.I think this game is going to nice. You can race with 13 other people online, and the cars seem to handel very well.Anybody else try the demo? What did you think?

Nascar is another Madden. Each year, another rehash. I doubt I will even download the demo this time. Does the demo have online play?

No online play in the demo.I tried the demo last year and the cars were very hard to control, but this year it seems more like a racing game then a Nascar sim.

I agree. Nascar becomes stale quicker than an open box of cereal. You have to be more than a casual fan for it to have a lasting appeal... there is only so much enjoyment one can get from racing on predominately oval tracks... IMO.

couldnt agree more.. yet nascar is like the number 1 racing sport in america.. not many people go see a rally race, not many go see a drifting competition, not many go see a drag race... but thousands upon millions go see a nascar race.. they sit in the stands way way up and view a track the shape of a oval and watch 30-40 cars race around in it.... *yawn*.. nascar is more popular in the southern states too for some reason compare to the north states (e.g. maine, montana)

Have you tried Moto GP 07 on Xbox 360? Utterly fantastic, gorgeous HD visuals, 60fps, and 60fps multiplayer which really surprised me. Great handling too, with the ability to have arcade or sim handling (or anything inbetween) and a great learning curve up the difficulties.
Moto GP 06 was a bit of a dud, but 07 rectified practically everything that was wrong with 06 and more. I believe Capcom have the Moto GP licence on all platforms now, so I'd expect a multiplatform Moto GP title from them soon anyway, but Climax who developed the THQ Moto GP titles have been gobbled up by Disney for their own gaming label so we won't see another Moto GP title from them. |

I did try 06 and it was crap. Didn't try 07 because I had gotten rid of the 360 before I ever tried it.
I did have the last Moto GP that came out on the PS2 and it was a joke, half the drivers were on the wrong bike and they made Nicky Hayden suck. Of course Rossi was the bomb. |

Game is a perfect example of EA Sports' generic, bland garbage. The presentation is boring, and the graphics are mediocre at best. The loading time is HORRIFIC! When Sierra/Papyrus had the Nascar series it was a lot more fun.
The game requires you to get a career in auto engineering in order to take advantage of it fully. You have to know everything there is to know about nascar cars... air pressure, suspension, gear ratio, etc. If your passion is NASCAR, then maybe this game is for you. The single player/road to the sprint cup is complicated (though probably realistic) with many sponsors, leagues, etc. I don't have time to put 24/7 to learn this game. For me, I traded this turd in for GT5: Prologue. What a difference! The graphics in GT5 are absolutely outstanding. There is music when you are racing. The single player events are alot of fun. Both games have Daytona as one of its tracks. The quality of graphics are night and day when comparing these two games!!! |

Can't keep the car on the road in this or GRiD since putting 40+ hours into GT5. It takes everything you know about driving and throws it out the window so you can pretend to by Kyle Bush.
