My whole point was that Microsoft continues to pour out defective units and then acts like they are doing us a favor by extending the warranty three years. Last year the repair timeframe was 7-14 days. It is now 4-6 weeks.

Do you get it now? And by the way I own a collection agency. And I'm sure I'll be speaking to your sorry ass when you can't pay for that really EXPENSIVE home theatre system.
yeah right,

new benz, paid cash for well over 30k,

home down payment is most likely more then you made last year.

home theatre was bought within a 3 month period and paid cash, meaning nothing is on credit, i have -0- debt, loser.

sorry guy but i make a living off of my own terms not off other peoples bad situations. don't you love calling that family who is struggling to pay their rent and is useing a credit card they can't afford to survive and feed their kids. then comes azz holes like you who look to profit off of the worst of time in peoples lifes.

man don't you feel great about your job, i bet an azz hole like you sure does.

It's my hope you realize its woefully unfair to compare your dells (or any other pc, for that matter) to your 360, and that just thinking they compare is fraught with false conceptions and misunderstandings of heat and electronics, and poor engineering there of.

Actually if people knew how to borrow money there wouldn't be any problem with him owning his own collection agency. Not his problem. He doesn't make the rules, he just gets paid so that other companies get their money ---- they are the ones who are giving people a chance to borrow money (house/shelter or car/ability to drive to work and make an income) and have those types of necessities which are extremely expensive.

So anyways, B I don't agree with your comeback. I know your a good guy but just don't join in the "I own this and I am rich" type on this forum...whomever it is.

Dude I've been doing this for 18 years. I don't ruin peoples lives, neither does my company. We aork out debt solutions and help people re-establish their credit. There are so many different types of collection agencies out there, from the bottom feeders up to the well established reputable and responsible ones. You have no idea what I do, neither do have any clue as to what type of collections I do. There are agencies that collect out of stat and in stat. Agencies that buy paper or work as third parties. You do not know the business so please do not make ridiculous assumptions. If I was a scum bag I wouldn't spend my time here I'd be on some porno site or wouldn't be here at all. I have been an audio and videophile my whole life. This interests me and I enjoy contributing whatever I can. It may not always be useful but we all have our opinions. If you guys don't like my comparison with a similar type of computer equipment then fine, point taken and we'll move on. I don't understand it though as a gaming console is basically a fine tuned PC. But whatever, i really didn't mean to offend, I just think that M$ treated loyal 360 customers poorly.

I don't really know how I came of as the high and mighty but if I did then I appologize just looking to strike up some conversation. Nuff said here and lets move on.

OK i'm willing to move on and give you a second chance. everyone has bad days and maybe it was a couple bad days for you. I believe most people on here who have been around a while just don't like new people coming here and getting on others without knowing their history. I also appologize for coming at you the way i did. i just didn't like how you came at me when i was only trying to make some points. those comments might have been taken the wrong way and some of the more light harted jabs which others are used to from me maybe were warrented since you didn't know me well. some of us have been on here for a few years and we get eachother. we know some of what we say is joking and nothing more. some are complete jerks who don't get what their talking about and wish only to throw bad info out there to make themselfs look better.

i don't lump you into that crowd and i only made my points in other threads to point out some of what you where saying might not be as accurate as you thought. to me this is a learning forum so i tend to point things out to people even when they don't want to learn about them. maybe the next person who knew nothing about this stuff reads it and learns how i did.

so sorry if i came off the wrong way as i'm a reactionary person who goes overboard sometimes (ok here comes the jokes), and good luck with your business.

hey i only made any reference about what i owned because his comment,

"And by the way I own a collection agency. And I'm sure I'll be speaking to your sorry ass when you can't pay for that really EXPENSIVE home theatre system."

seems like the majority of his posts where coming at me like i'm some inferior person to him. to me that comment is like saying i'm a bum who is poor and can't possibly own that equipment without streaching out my credit cards. many of his comments where like he is talking down to me and that one just put me over the top. i know i'm well off but i don't feel i'm better then anyone else. i grew up real poor (i'm talking welfare poor and father on SSI poor, believe me i know the feeling of paying with paper foodstamps while having your friends in line behind you talking trash or having some cute girls ask what type of money i was paying with because they never saw a foodstamp before). i donate time and money every year and through out the year i work with kids by teaching them basketball every summer.

Umm, did you look at my join date? I've been around longer than you.

If you read the history of this thread you will see that the interpretation was made about what I said. I never meant to say I was better than anyone else here. I was simply comparing failure rates with similar types of equipment.

What is more similar to a gaming console than a PC???? Thats for BB and TypeA.

I never said I had more money than anyone. I'm not going to get into childish discussions about what I own. I'm first generation; my family didn't have a penny when they came here. My grandfather was in a concentration camp. So if you want to talk about poverty and starting with nothing then by all means, IM me. We'll talk.

Ok I vented and so did you so lets get back to constructive conversation.

And jeez... This a gaming forum. We need to chill.

this is not my original name on this forum. in 05 i lost my password when i switched pc's and started a new one over. i actually started here in '04 but spent most of my time in the tv and audio section (but hey who cares about that). look you can't deny now what was said and you sure did come in here talking down on people like your some high and mighty person, i'm not the only one who saw it that way.

I explain to the driver its a repair and Microsoft has always paid shipping both ways on my previous 3 repairs...(2 for the original and 1 for my core system) So, He calls in says he will check things and return... On the way to the truck he drops the package I mean a 4 foot fall onto my driveway I'm like great...anyway Ive been in touch with CS I explained things to him (calmly I might add) and I explained I already have 560.00+ (400.00 initial cost + tax, plus 140.00 repair for freezing 5 months ago) invested into what I feel is a defective product and that I wouldnt spend one more dime on that unit... the MS rep said they have been having issues with Fedex since switching to them and he will have my 360 recalled and then reshipped non COD...Fedex has tried to deliver the package 2 more times since I called I wonder if anyone out there actually cares...I honestly feel that they can keep the unit if they expect me to pay for shipping I wont keep throwing money at a black hole... I'll keep you guys posted...

Just an update on my situation with M$ today the rep called said my console was in transit and should arrive sometime this week. Well, just after lunch FedEx arrived with my 360 in a white coffin....When I saw the white box I knew thre was going to be an issue. See when I talked to the rep in early DEC he said that since my console was being sent in for the 3rd time I needed to send in the power brick so they sent a larger brown coffin to include the power brick well of course when my console arrived today no power brick was returned with the unit. This is really getting rediculis Ive left a message with my rep, poor guy he probably thinks this problem will never be resolved....any suggestions? should I file a lawsuit......HA HA
