Ooh-la-la! 78,000 consoles sold in France

Yesterday, we got news of Europe reaching the staggering amount of 600,000 PlayStation 3 units sold. But that, as we said, was for the whole of Europe. Let's break down all this record-breaking achievements, shall we? The UK has already reported their numbers; they sold 165,000 units in the first two days. That accounts for a little less than 30% of the total 600K of Europe. What about the other regions?

Good news (and by news, I mean marketing) for Sony with these acheivements.

Even though this author is solely a PS3 developer...I have always agreed with this logic. PS3 long term. I wonder if others think of it the same way? Right now the 360 really is the best buy...but down the road I think it's a different story.
