Default PC Parts and Pieces

OK...

WTF with RAM and NVIDIA GPU prices right now???????

RAM is almost $100 per stick of 8GB, and in some instances/brands, OVER $100 per stick. Meanwhile, you can get $600 laptops with 12GB of RAM. Da fuq??

An ASUS Strix 1060 is over $500. I only paid a little over $420 for my 1070. A 1070 Ti is almost $800, and a 1080 Ti is as much as $1500. I'm looking strictly at ASUS products because that's what I've always bought since my first GPU from EVGA.

What the hell is going on?

The cryptocurrency mania has been keeping prices artificially high

supply and demand.. fucking crypto bubble is wrecking GPU prices.

The ram situation is due to the fact that smart phones are using the same chips, and most of the supply is going to smartphone mft

Maybe it's time to finally try it out. And I'm wishing I had started doing it back when it first started.

I will be, yes. Unless there's any inkling Kingdom Hearts 3 will get a PC release

Honestly, there's a bunch of PS4 exclusives I want to play. But I also do need to upgrade my PC as well. I'm still running a 2500K and 8GB of RAM for fuck's sake.

I mean, my PC is pretty good, but due to the graphics card prices and the fact that I've been playing AAA games on the console I haven't upgraded beyond my GTX980. I do have a really good processor and a shit ton of ram though. I bought it right before the boom thankfully.

Bloodborne is the free psn game this month. Free is a good reason for me to give it a try.

It's a fantastic game. I was watching a twitch steamer play it last night and now I want to play it again.

F'ing fantastic game one of my fav ps4 exclusives. Be warned though it is tough (essentially A dark souls game for PS4 made by FROM ). Try not to hurl your controller in anguish.

Since it is this months freebie a bunch of folk will be playing on-line so perhaps I will re-visit it.
