If only the people in Congress would get off their asses and make murder illegal.

All of this would just go away.

So many quotes, but here's my take...

3. Police presence. I see cops clocking speeders at 10 am. Rather than sitting around, walk around the school for an hour at random times.
4. Announce that teachers may be armed. I am opposed to armed teachers, but if thereís a thought that this or that person may be armed, then at least this makes people think.

This may not do anything, but at least it may make people think twice. Iíve also heard the argument that itís a school and not a prison, but itís what the world is in this age. I remember hanging out as a kid at the airport in the food court and the arcade and that is not even a thing anymore.

One issue Iím having is when the two ďsidesĒ are using it as a political message. Itís about 17 lives lost and many more changed forever right now and brainstorm what can be done to make this the last time.
Both my parents are/were teachers. My dad concealed carries when not at school due to current regulations/policies. But he believes teachers that wish to be armed and can prove their ability to use it via a proper license, certification, etc. should be able to have their gun with them. I haven't gotten into the details with him, but some questions I have include where will he keep it. Holstered at his waist? In a drawer? Has he thought about what happens if he has to keep it in a locked drawer, and while trying to get it out, he's shot? Or someone incapacitates him prior to him getting control of it, and they take his gun and use it? There's just so many variables I don't think it's realistic.

Both parents work many hours to support their lifestyles, so when they do get home all they wanna do is eat, sit for a bit and then crash, so a lot goes unseen.
After school programs were built with the intention to help in the situations where parents/guardians aren't available immediately after school to pick up their kids. But in many schools/districts, these programs have been cut due to funding. There are instances where poor parenting is to blame even if they are available. And then there are some who just don't want to parent. But studies have shown these instances are few and far between.

Just like the "me too" sexual harassment movement had been gaining stream the kids in Florida have become big SJW with "never again". Major national companies are dripping their affiliation and relationships with the NRA. And politicians are feeling the heat and changing position and running for political cover.

Do you realize that if we armed 50% off teachers they would outnumber cops by a large margin. Do you really think that is such a good idea.

I saw an expose where a LEO was training a few teachers similar to the FBI hostage drills and a reporter brought up the fact that in the run through a teacher 'fatally struck a kid' and the organizer was like "1 innocent fatality certainly is acceptable in one of these situations"

Arming teachers is a bad idea for the reasons given above. The only useful and "safe" place is in a holster. And even then a student will eventually try (and succeed) to take the gun out of it). Teachers walking around like cops with gun holsters sounds like a militant society that I would want no part of. And then you have the cost and heaven knows how many teachers would quit.

A more practical solution would be having a few armed security guards, stationed near the entrances. It wouldn't be foolproof but it probably would have prevented most of the school killings we've read about in the last 10-20 years. Perhaps also a way that teachers and faculty could send a warning to those guards as soon as they see any kind of trouble, perhaps with a smartwatch?

I hope lawmakers finally have the spine to stand up to the NRA. There fear is not unlike that of the mafia, it's totally out of proportion. Having companies drop affiliation with the NRA is a good way to get the ball rolling on all this. The NRA only interest is in making money and that means having as many weapons sold as possible. There is nothing in the 2nd Amendment that says that there is to be no restrictions on bearing arms. After all, bazookas and grenade are arms too.

I have very little desire to argue gun politics anymore. It's such a joke at this point. Every week there's a school shooting and a bunch of 70 IQ hilljacks saying that we need to arm the teachers. It's just exhausting dealing with this level of stupidity; I literally can't take it. This country is a fucking disaster

When facts are the ammunition, and conservatives are immune to facts, what other choice to I have?

Conservative handbook, page 1:
-Drop into conversations and be a huge troll.
-Wait for the insults.
-Act surprised and claim moral high ground.

I just listened to this, this morning, while I was on the road for work. A fascinating, study, on the, second amendment. Also, extra comma's, are a thing, that should apparently, be avoided. Find out why, by, clicking, here.
