I played it for like 6 hours. It was a ton of fun. Just very very repetitive.

So the sequel is due out OCT 10th. Just watched the extended trailer/behind the scenes walkthrough on Steam and this game looks like it is going to be awesome. Although I am sure it will be repetitive too they added a whole lot to it. You now recruit enemy captains and forces to become your allies and conquer regions of Mordor (supposedly different unique environments). Based on how you do this enemy fortresses and Overlords as well as their areas are dynamic and unique to your quest. ONce you capture a fortress or region you leave one of your recruited warlords in charge to defend it against counterattack and to build your armies. Essentially the game was expanded quite a bit. I suggrest watching the 16 min trailer /expose on steam. One cool thing was dominating a fire drake and flying it through an area devaststing a castle (until a huge ogre grabbed it and tore it apart.)
Looks like a day 1 grab if not pre-order for me.

I'll buy it for 10 or 15 dollars in 6 months. Destiny 2 will be my new game this month. I'm also working on Uncharted 4 since I blew the dust off my PS4.

Make sure oyu do - not sure if you played the first or nor. I also blew the dust Off my ps4 and am playing D2. Me and Cherman are on a good bit (not sire if you and I are ps4 friends but if not I am "jkkyler"- friend me and we can run some together. Also Uncharted 4 is a good romp altough not particularly challenging (but that isn't what uncharted is about it is more engaged in plot and story)

I played the 1st one & loved it. My daughter done pre-ordered my gold edition copy of this one for my birthday.
Was upset they only had a small quantity of the Mithril editions available for pre order & I could not find one. They are $300 but studying Tolkien & everything him & his son published about Middle Earth is my biggest hobby as I read Tolkien books year round and I have a modest collection of Lord of the Rings stuff so that's why I wanted the Mithril edition.

The 1st game had just a small drop of actual Middle Earth lore & I thought it was great. Hoping for the same with this one when it comes out.

So GMG had it currently for 10% of and got a voucher in my email for 15% off picked this up yesterday for $45 (25%) off. It is a 65 GB download!!! Not sure if that includes ULTRA texture pack or not. Took a good while with the speed of Steam servers to grab the d/l. Only had time late night to run the benchmark 1080p all ULTRA except high on texture pack until I can install the ( ULTRA texture pack). Avg 85 fps. Game also features option of dynamic graphics adjustments letting you set target fps. Only had time to play first 10 min of prologue but so far so good!!!! Gonna drink me Oktoberfest and kI'll some uruk-hai tonight

Shadow of War is a very good game so far, great story line, great voice acting and controls for the most part are on point.

I never played the first, but I don't feel I really need to in order to enjoy this installment.
