I just unlocked the Hidden Teahouse and picked a clan. How does this part of the game work, jk?

Each revenant you kill earns you glory which contributes towards your clan. You are either on red or white (perhaps pale blue) and over the week whichever side wins the most glory is rewarded based on global outcomes. Each week IIRC Tues morn at 2:00 am weekly totals are calculated and you can then pick up your glory at the teahouse and glory can be used to purchase gestures, skins, items or random weapon rolls which seem to be high value weapons. In addition each clan has bonuses attributed to them (similar to what you get from a guardian spirit). You can change clans whenever you like but the longer you stay in a cllan the more glory rewards you accrue and the greater your associated clan bonus.

So I've respecced one more time, this time into a poison dual sword build with magic. I have enough magic points to cast a few of each of healing, the attack with your creature, and some fire enhancement scrolls. Then a good bit of ninjustsu with fire shurikens, kunai, DoT enhancements, and of course poison for my dual swords. I spec all my non magic/ninjutsu points into stuff for dual sword build.

It's really fucking good. The DoT means that enemies are taking damage when I'm moving around, which I do a lot since I keep my agility at a "A" rating. The magic helps out a lot, as usual, and poison is really good against strong enemies. Dual swords helps the poison build up fast, and enemies really hurt once you apply the effect. It's very fun to watch a boss die from bleeding out due to poison.

Cool I use poison on my Kurd I Gama and fire and/or water damage on dual swords. 5 if you build 2 different elemental effects on an enemy it causes confusion in which you essentially break and stagger on every blow. I have been using a lot of effects and items that deplete enemy ki - proving to be a very effective strategy. I also have an A agility rating with entire set of really good rolls Warrior of the West gear. Worry much more about agility than I did in souls games. I am at endgame but haven't fought the final bosses yet. Levelling up some and doing twilight's and such as well as fulfilling requirements to unlock character descriptions arc at the extras screen. I had to raise my magic from 10 to 15 to be able to do the last Soho mission as it has min 15 magic requirement. Skill, Dexterity , and Ninja all at 25 and I am rocking it. If you haven't got a sloth totem yet wait till you do. Also been experimenting with other spirit guardians to see situationally where they benefit most.
One set of my 4 hot keys is fire Shuriken , kunai level 2, super koyo dama mega bomb (lights multiple enemies on fire and huge explosion, spirit attack totem

Hattori Masanari (服部 正成?), was a famous ninja of the Sengoku era, credited with saving the life of Tokugawa Ieyasu and then helping him to become the ruler of united Japan.[2][3] Today, he is often a subject of varied portrayal in modern popular culture.
Have you fought him yet in the Dojo training mission. He was one of the earlier foghts I has trouble with. Had to develop some new skills. That is one thing I have learned in this game. Tactics that work early or in one environment become ineffective and new strategy to be learned.

I beat him by circling the rock. He'll swing at you, hit the rock, you get a free hit, back to circling the rock.

You guys still playing this? I've played it 3 days now and really enjoy it. I don't think I'm very far; I did the burning fishing village and the return to the village to kill the bandits, then started up the 2nd main mission in the caves.

It's similar to Dark Souls where I'm ignoring like 60% of the gameplay mechanics. I just figured out the Ki Pulse thing, that's handy for not losing your stamina. Also I just figured out the skills you can purchase, those are nice as well. Love the double swords. Single is fun too, that's about all I use.

Pretty sure there is 5. If I complete the 5th and there is another I'll let you know

5, have you unlocked the 2ND Blacksmith yet?

JR, it is a pretty long game that holds up well and continues to evolve and offer challenge. You develop a skill, use it until it becomes second nature then you discover another skill.
Unlock the life water skill or whatever it is that ki pulses you whenever you dodge. That skill is key. Also it is worth it to build up Ninja skills. I put a lot of time in early but haven't had much time to play recently.

I use dual swords, single swords and kursigama because it had good reach and oohs ultra quick in low stance. Now I can trip people with my kursigama and/or draw myself to them.

Make sure you look for glowing eyes on the wall. If you see them you can attack the wall and find a secret passage

2nd blacksmith? I unlocked the ability to buy useful items with Glory, and I got the regular blacksmith girl to change outfits and offer more upgrades, but other than those things I don't think so.

I'm still playing it a bunch. I'm on the 4th island and have done every single side mission so far.
