This is a great resource and the thread should be stickied IMO.

Also noticed that CNET is now testing lag in it's reviews, good to see that people are realizing that this is an important issue for gamers.

Doesn't have ours listed... But I can't imagine its too bad, because I still beat people's asses in Halo regularly.

CNET measured it, ours is pretty good.

This is good stuff. I'm still in the market for a panel, actually.

Looking in the 28-32" arena. Will be the primary panel in a 3 screen setup. I've got an affinity to Samsung but not required. Do not need 4K. Primarily gaming, (SLI but post processing of photos in Lightroom also will be done.

Budget: Under $500 if possible. What's out there right now?

Unless you plan to sniff the screen while you play, get something bigger

I game on a 27" LED at home, from the 3' away that I sit it's fine. My office chair is super comfortable and I wear headsets. I rather that then be annoyed playing on the big screen downstairs.

Curious - what headset do you use?

So a pretty decent pair of cans then. Probably 400-500 series at that price. Keep telling myself I am going to get a pair of 600 or 650's but every time I am ready something else takes precedent. I am going to address my cpu + gpu I think before any more audio purchases (outside what I already have ordered ATM).
My wife got me a (nice?) higher end Turtle Beach gaming headset a while back and soundwise it is 'ok/fair' but so uncomfortable that it makes sore spots on my ears so I never wear them.

Picking this up again. What do the HDF peeps think of this panel -

http://www.amazon.com/PB278Q-2560x14...278Q+27+inches

The one other one that peeps have been recommending is the ROG TN equivalent which is like 800. Fuck that.

The other is FreeSync

Finally picked up a second panel.

Got the Asus ROG Swift 27". 156hz IPS. Awesome so far. Took the Dell TN panel back.
