Default Difference between Samsung PN50A550 and PN50B550

Hello,

Does anyone know the difference between these Samsung plasmas?

PN50A550 vs PN50B550

I can find the specs on the PN50A550, however, I cant seem to find much on the latter. I happened to stumble across it at the sears website when I was looking at other samsung models.

Appreciate the help.

The B550 is the newest model (this years) and it is just showing up in stores now. Samsung's website may have some specs on it. They will be very similar to last years.

It'll be on the website soon, I'm sure. Like I stated before, they are just arriving now and throughout April and May. If you can get a good deal on the A550, it may be worth it ($1200 or less is a good deal). Otherwise, wait for the B550.

Hi!Welcome the forum! So this is the basic difference between the model of samsung.
Samsung PN50A550
-----------------
The picture is excellent, and HD

signals are reproduced with incredible accuracy and

color. Although the built in speakers are just

average. But the problem in days due to it's antiglare

performance, which is poor. The glare is not a problem at

night, on cloudy days, or if you view the TV from an

angle where you cannot see the window reflections.

Samsung PN50B550.
-------------
The Picture is High brightness (1500 cd/m) andstunning 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast. For clearer images and accurate color representation, even during scenes where both bright and dark images are present. Also having Built-in 20W speaker system which will delivers high-quality sound .

Thanks for that link, I always wondered what it meant by xxx : 1 contrast ratio. I'm going to go read that thread now
