Default Can someone tell me how to hook my Comp to my TV?

Hi, I have a Dell and the back looks like this - it has the female end, where can I find a male end to fit that?

Don't quite understand your question...why aren't you just using a VGA cable that already has the male end? Does your TV have VGA?

Here's a good spot to buy cables from.

Best of Luck,

Not necessarily...many TVs connect better with their VGA port versus DVI or HDMI. Make sure that you can set your video card to the exact native resolution of your TV including the exact same refresh rate.

Oh man that's deep for me? If I just go VGA - should I be fine?

Again, provided that you set the PC's video card to the same native resolution refresh rate of your TV. Otherwise it won't look right or won't work at all, regardless of whether it's VGA or HDMI.

what's so bad about that?? Monoprice has some really good prices on cables and adapters. At least it's not a pic of a Monster Cable adapter. Then he'd be ripped off seriously!!

Uh, I wasn't saying it was bad...I thought it was funny. The humor is that someone recommended Monoprice and the OP posted a picture of an Monoprice adapter.

Depends on your video card and HDTV. I had similar concerns before hooking up via VGA.

Turned out that my PC and TV auto-synced at the appropriate resolution and refresh rate. It was that simple.

I'm guessing but, I don't think it's that easy for everyone...

Cheaper than monoprice???? Where?????

Let's see, you posted a vga cable for $14; that cable in the 6' length is $3.41 at monoprice. So, who's got it cheaper??
